AUTUMN/WINTER 2004

Season Coverage

Takahiro Miyashita has always been known as an innovator in abstract ornament, color palettes, and patterning. He used this season as an outlet to voice his opinion on the political climate through the re-imagination of militaristic accouterment. He also selectively used typography and language during this season, specifically regarding what can only be described as anti-war graphic poetry. The season title itself, "Give Peace a Chance," was lifted from John Lennon's ballad for peace, setting the tone for Takahiro's first collection in Paris.
