AUTUMN/WINTER 2009
Season Coverage
Tatsuro Horikawa’s second label, “Julius,” was inspired by the dream (or nightmare) he and many of his contemporaries had of “Neo-Tokyo.” This vision of urban dystopia influenced many of his design decisions and has continued to be a concise through-line that has kept him creating relevant tech-wear to this date. Horikawa’s interest with militaristic accouterment led to creating the designer’s most iconic motif – a set of exaggerated kangaroo pockets deemed the “Gas Mask.”
