AUTUMN/WINTER 2004
Season Coverage
Hedi Slimane practically perfected heroin chic, a look popularized in the ’90s that can be defined by emaciated people in tight skin garments and ripped jeans. During his tenure at Dior, his collections were influenced heavily by inspirations from the likes of Sid Vicious and Mick Jagger’s rock star styles and rebelliousness. Slimane’s Winter 2004 collection, “Victim of the Crime,” accurately portrayed the theme by playing with different Rock and Roll styles while diving into the exploration of the male sex.
