Dries Van Noten’s AW2014 presented a fascinating collection of jackets and pants enhanced by metal hardware, zippers, biker paneling, and athletic stripes. The season was heavily inspired from faraway centuries and old renaissance style from digging through the archives of Musée des Arts Décoratifs. He intended to make his garments feel old. Jacket and jeans were dyed and acid-washed, leaving an oily sheen and a military vintage look.
