COVERAGE
Craig Green fascinated the fashion industry with his A/W17 collection through his exploration of one of his deepest fears, the sea. Green took his “fear of the unknown” as inspiration turning his runway models to maritime journeymen with cinched midlines and various uses of flowing drawstrings and tubes. Marine inspiration is most evident in the final five looks as Green introduces an innovative take on a traditional diving suit. As stated by Green, the tubes of the garment are meant to allude to the oxygen lines of a scuba suit. These “scuba” pieces not only explore Green’s fears but exemplify what it means to face one’s fears, as none truly traverse the expanse of the sea deeper than a diver.
